Finn Schrade I Apprentice

Read Finn Schrade’s testimonial

“I am currently in my second year of apprenticeship as a mechatronics technician for refrigeration technology, and I couldn’t imagine doing anything else professionally. I already came into contact with the “einsU” companies during my school days at Sundern Gymnasium. For example, individual companies came by and introduced themselves. But because I also come from Hachen, I knew L&R from an early age. At the “career parcours” in the “Schützenhalle” (hall of the local shooters club), I was able to talk directly to the contacts and clarify initial questions, which was really great.
I made a conscious decision to train in my home town, because it’s nice and familiar here. You get plenty of appreciation and can just feel good; you are with your family and friends and you don’t have to travel long distances to work. Through the apprenticeship, I can directly gain practical experience that will also serve me better later in my professional life. In the long term, I am planning to continue my education with a university degree, and I know that my company is very supportive of young people. For example, I can continue to work part-time at the company. During the apprenticeship, we rotate through different departments, always in close collaboration with our colleagues. On the one hand, I get to know the whole team, and on the other hand, I can learn a lot and am well prepared for my future working life. For example, I’m in the service department right now, where I join the teams who visit customers on site. Among other things, I look at broken refrigeration systems, find the faults and try to repair them on my own. I believe that this prepares me ideally for my future professional life – not least because of the proximity and personal contacts that you can make here in Sundern. Many of my friends stayed here after graduating from high school, because there are so many opportunities locally – even if the big city often seems tempting. But I would make that choice again any time.”
