Drum deburring for rubber and hard rubber parts

This is where the origins of L&R's operations lie—in plastics processing, which is still a core area of our expertise. This applies not only to the "normal" cooling of injection moulds and their hydraulics, but also, especially, to the drum deburring process for rubber and hard rubber parts. The parts are rotated in a drum at temperatures ranging from -90 oC (e.g. for nitrile rubber, or NBR) to -110 oC (for silicone). At these temperatures, the otherwise elastic material becomes brittle and is deburred in the rotation, which is an extremely efficient process. In this case, L&R not only manufactures the deep-freeze technology, but also the complete deburring system.
